Keep your website, fix it or move it?

If your platform is near the end of its support, slow, hard to edit or hard to use, we look under the bonnet and give you the cost of each option before you commit to anything.

  • Platform, version and support dates checked
  • Custom code, security and performance reviewed
  • Accessibility tested against WCAG 2.2 AA

Scope

What we look at.

The things that decide whether a website is worth keeping.

  • Platform and support

The version you run, when support ends and what an upgrade involves.

  • Custom code

How much is bespoke, and whether it fights the platform.

  • Security

Updates, plugins, access and the risks they carry.

  • Performance

Speed on a phone, measured, and what slows it down.

  • Accessibility

Templates and content tested against WCAG 2.2 AA.

  • Editing

Whether your team can change pages without a developer.

  • Search and analytics

Tracking, rankings and the redirects any move would need.

  • Forms and CRM

Where enquiries go, and whether they reach the right record.

The method

How the health check runs.

  1. Access

View access to your site, its code and analytics, and a short call with whoever looks after it.

  2. Review

Automated tests and a hand check of code, security, speed, accessibility and editing.

  3. Rank

Every finding on an impact and effort matrix, from quick wins to the ones to leave.

  4. Options

The cost of keeping, fixing or moving, side by side, and a call to go through them.

Three platforms compared. Then one chosen by the people who use it.

GMPF's review covered usability, search, accessibility and analytics, and compared three platforms. Its content team tried HubSpot hands-on and chose it. For launch, we have rebuilt around 150 pages on HubSpot Content Hub, with Microsoft Entra sign-in for employers and governance users and an independent Shaw Trust accessibility review.

Moving from another agency?

Know what you are taking on before you sign.

If your developer has moved on or your agency has gone quiet, the health check doubles as a hand-over check: what is there, what is fragile and what it would take to keep it running.

After that, our Support plan covers fixes, small changes and advice across HubSpot and your website, from £496 a month, plus VAT.

Questions about the health check.

Will you just tell us to move to HubSpot?

No. We build new sites on HubSpot Content Hub, but if keeping or upgrading your current platform is better value, the health check says so, with the numbers. See how we build on HubSpot.

Can you fix accessibility without a rebuild?

Often, yes. Many issues sit in a handful of templates, so fixing those repairs every page that uses them. The health check tells you which route is better value. See our accessibility service.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the size of the site and how many templates and integrations it has. The first call is free. Project work is £992 a day, plus VAT, and we agree a fixed price with you before we start.

Decide with the numbers in front of you.
